Sofia Shelest invites the viewer to contemplate inner nature and silence by depicting recognizable symbols using the technique of multi-layered oil painting—willows at the water, blossoms, shadows of people and spirits, the glow of the sun at dawn, the soft light of the moon. Contemplating this “infinite landscape” created by the author, one can feel connected to the higher realms of our being, one with nature and the wonders of his inner world.
The main thread running through all my work is to capture the state, to bring the moment into balance. This is an infinite landscape, capturing silence, contemplation and sincere joy of life.
