EVGENIYA BURAVLEVA
Evgeniya Buravleva was born in Kirov, Russia in 1980.
The artist works with concepts of space and time. Using classical painting techniques, she builds relationships between space, time and the person within them. The character of the works is a man tormented by modernity, forced to exist in a world of post-truth, a lonely hero on the verge of making a decision.
The concept of light is important for the artist. Light dissolves space and familiar objects, becomes emptiness, a white spot – one can only imagine what is hidden in this emptiness. The artist grants this right to her hero and the viewer.
