ELENA LYAPINA

Born in Moscow, Russia, in 1982.

The object of the artist’s creative research is consciousness, which is the very source of the creative process. She admires the approach of ancient Chinese painters, where the starting point for creating a work of art is meditation, the creative state of the author, and the energy of the physical touch of the brush on paper. Thus, the very way of interacting with materials is alive, moving, and purely creative.

In her Think Pink series, Elena strives to convey the infinite space of spiritual reality, consciousness—not at all frightening, but cozy, gentle, and tender, bringing us closer to the source of our being. Inviting the viewer to self-exploration, the works seem to open up the opportunity to discover a spiritual, metaphysical reality in oneself.

Paintings and graphic works are in private collections in Russia, Uzbekistan, India, Israel, Holland, Germany, Italy, Canada, and the USA.
